Wheat, corn, soybeans climb on the Chicago Board of Trade, oats flat; beef, pork futures rise

Agriculture futures mostly rose, livestock higher
CHICAGO — Agriculture futures mostly rose early Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for March delivery jumped 8.5 cents to $5.62 a bushel, while March corn climbed 7 cents to $3.99 a bushel and oats for March delivery were flat at $2.71 a bushel. January soybeans inched up 0.5 cent to $10.465 a bushel.
Meanwhile, beef and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
February live cattle gained 0.3 cent to 85.8 cents a pound; January feeder cattle added 0.13 cent to 93.35 cents a pound; December lean hogs edged up 1.18 cents to 59.8 cents a pound; and February pork bellies rose slightly by 0.03 cent to 86.7 cents a pound.
