Haryana buffalo sets record

CHANDIGARH - A Murrah-breed buffalo belonging to Haryana’s Faridabad district has set a new record by yielding 31.320 kg of milk in a day, officials said here Tuesday.

The buffalo belongs to Dharam Pal Nagar of village Neemka. Officials of the Haryana animal husbandry and dairying department said this was the highest yield by a Murrah buffalo, a breed known for high milk yield.

The buffalo was milked in the presence of district officials and veterinary experts at a competition in Faridabad.
