GURGAON - The Indian arm of Latin American chicken restaurant chain Pollo Campero is planning to open 50 new outlets across the country in the next three years.

We are planning to open about 50 stories in the next three years across the country. Half of them will be company owned and the other half will be sub-franchisees, Amit Burman, vice chairman, Dabur India Limited, and chairman Lite Bite Foods, the master franchisee for the chain in India, told IANS, Wednesday.

We are on the lookout for stand alone stores which will be our flagship store. We are also seeing how the Indian consumer reacts to it (the first outlet) and if there is any tweaking required (as per the Indian taste) so that by the time we open our flagship store, all our menus will be ready, he added.

The first outlet of the international brand is stationed at the Food Union food court in Ambience Mall here.

Pollo Campero already has 350 restaurants in 13 countries including 50 restaurants in the US. It serves more than 75 million consumers per year.

Lite Bite Foods Pvt Ltd is Indias leading F&B retail chain comprising restaurants and food courts of both leading international and in-house concepts.

The Delhi-based company, which also runs brands such as Asia 7, Fres Co, Punjab Grill, Street Foods of India, Subway, Baker’s Street, Rapps, Big Gulp and Pinos Pasta Pizza, has currently 40 outlets across the country.
