Corn, oats, soybeans climb on the Chicago Board of Trade, wheat falls; beef, pork trade higher

Agriculture futures trade mixed on the Chicago BOT

CHICAGO — Agriculture futures were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery slid 6.75 cents to $4.8925 a bushel, while May corn jumped 2 cents to $3.76 a bushel and oats for May delivery added 0.5 cent to $2.255 a bushel. May soybeans inched up 0.5 cent to $9.595 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle edged up 1.37 cent to 97.52 cents a pound; April feeder cattle rose 1.6 cents to $1.0787 a pound; April lean hogs climbed 1.27 cents to 72.87 cents a pound; and May pork bellies gained 1 cent to 93.25 cents a pound.
