NEW DELHI - IT firm Mahindra Satyam Thursday said that its Dubai office in United Arab Emirates will now function as its new regional hub overseeing the integration of both its Middle East and African operations.

The company has taken this step to target more project and growth opportunities in the two regions’ booming IT and business segment, it said in a regulatory filing.

Manojeet Chowdhury, who was managing the Middle East Region, will now operate in a broader role of driving synergies across Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) region.

The company has appointed Bobby Gupta as business head for the Gulf, Levant and North African region, and Chittaranjan Jena as business head for Southern Africa, based out of Johannesburg.

“Over the last six quarters, the Mahindra Satyam’s Middle East and African operations have shown commendable resilience through tough times and have generated significant momentum across a broad spectrum of opportunities,” said Dilip Jha, senior vice president, business - Middle East, Africa and India.

“These leadership changes are aimed at leveraging experiences to facilitate increased synergy and bring global offering to customers in Middle East and Africa,” he added.
