RANCHI - The Jharkhand government plans to take back the unused 7,300 acres of land from Bokaro steel plant, an official Friday.

The decision was taken at a meeting between Land and Revenue Minister Mathura Mahto and officials. “The land will be used for other purposes or it will be returned to land owners,” an official told IANS.

The Bokaro plant was given a total of 33,427 acres of land to set up a steel plant. “A large part of the land is still unused,” the official added.
