Nokia launches X5 smartphone

NEW DELHI - Mobile handset maker Nokia India Monday launched Nokia X5 smartphone in order to expand its smartphone line up in the country.

The slide out QWERTY handset comes equipped with a 5 megapixel camera, integrated speakers and social networking features.

Customers can easily access emails from Hotmail, Gmail and other personal accounts, chat with friends using instant messaging services and stay in touch with friends through Facebook, MySpace and Twitter from the home screen.

X5 also comes with a fun application “Surprise me” that allows consumers to play random tracks by just spinning their phones. With the help of “Playlist DJ” they can create playlists based on their mood or favourite songs.

Priced at Rs.10,499, the phone comes with 2 GB microSD memory card.
