CHANDIGARH - The Haryana government is set to regularise illegal colonies in Gurgaon, a state minister said Sunday.

The decision to regularise the illegal colonies in Gurgaon will soon be taken by the Haryana government and almost all such colonies will be regularised, Haryanas Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sukhbir Kataria said in Gurgaon.

Kataria said that Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will be invited to a public meeting in Gurgaon where a final decision in this regard is likely to be announced.

The minister said that 90 percent of the grant received by him during the last one year had been spent on colonies in Gurgaon.

Efforts would be made to bridge the difference between new and old Gurgaon. Providing basic amenities in all the colonies of Gurgaon is my top priority. No colony would be discriminated in the matter of development, he added.
