The Reserve Bank of India today placed on its website the Report of Expert Committee on Licensing of New Urban Co-operative Banks (www.rbi.org.in/scripts/PublicationReportDetails.aspx?UrlPage=&ID=648) (Chairman:Shri Y.H. Malegam). The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is `46.9735 and the Reference Rate for Euro is `63.6609 on September 12, 2011. The corresponding rates for the previous day (September 9, 2011) were `46.3843 and `64.4825 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:
