The Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue `100 denomination  Banknotes incorporating "`" symbol, without  inset letter, in the  Mahatma Gandhi Series-2005  bearing the  signature of Dr. D. Subbarao, Governor , Reserve Bank of India, and  the year of printing 2011 printed on the back of the Banknote.

Further to RBI Press Release dated November 16, 2011, wherein it was stated that the Reserve Bank of India would conduct OMO purchase auctions of `10,000 crore on November 24, 2011, Reserve Bank has decided to purchase the following government securities through auction for an aggregate amount up to ` 10,000 crore through multi-security auction using the multiple price method:
