BAE Systems receives $61 million Army contract

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Defense contractor BAE Systems has been awarded Army contract modifications worth $60.6 million for Bradley fighting vehicles, launch rocket systems and ambulances.

Much of the contract award, $54.4 million, is from the U.S. Army Tank Automotive & Armaments Command for installation of survivability modifications on Bradley vehicles at Fort Hood, Texas; Fort Stewart, Ga.; Fort Bliss, Texas; Iraq, Kuwait and Germany. Modifications include a fire suppression system, new seats, new ammunition and other equipment.
