Eastman Kodak chief marketing officer leaves

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Eastman Kodak Co.’s marketing guru, Jeffrey Hayzlett, is leaving the photography and printing company after four years.

Kodak says that Hayzlett is resigning as chief marketing officer in two weeks to pursue personal interests but will provide transitional work for Kodak through the end of August.

The company didn’t name a replacement and says it will restructure the chief marketing officer role on his departure.

The 49-year-old Hayzlett, a South Dakota native, helped the picture-taking pioneer shift its marketing strategy in the digital age and enhance its visibility on social media such as Facebook and Twitter.

Hayzlett says “the time is right” for him to devote his energy to a variety of unspecified personal projects.
