Kroger names new head of Dillon Food Stores unit
CINCINNATI — The Kroger Co., the nation’s largest grocery store chain, said Wednesday that it named Joe Grieshaber to replace John Bays as president of its Dillon Food Stores unit. Bays is retiring.
Grieshaber, 52, has worked for Kroger since 1983. His most recent post was as group vice president of perishables merchandising and procurement.
Bays worked for Kroger for 42 years, the company said.
Dillon Food Stores is based in Hutchinson, Kansas and has 91 stores in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
Kroger shares rose 3 cents to $20.48 in after-hours trading, after finishing regular trading up 43 cents at $20.45.
