Videocon d2h launches satellite LCDs

NEW DELHI - Direct-to-home (DTH) service provider Videocon d2h Tuesday launched its new range of satellite LCDs (liquid crystal displays) which will receive signals directly from the satellite without the use of any Set Top Box (STB).

“The in-built STB offers perfect picture quality by ensuring no signal loss. Available in 16 models from 19-inch to 42-inch screen size, the Videocon d2h LCD range is competitively priced between Rs.12,990 to Rs.59,990,” the company said in a statement.

Consumers can get complimentary subscription of 3-12 months depending on the model they purchase. The subscription offers 260 channels across several genres like music, movies, news, entertainment and education.

“The Videocon d2h Satellite LCD range is designed keeping in mind the sensibilities and tastes of the Indian viewer. The satellite LCD range is the first in the world with an in-built set-top-box providing uncomplicated and superior experience to our customers,” said Jaideep Rathore, chief marketing officer, consumer electronics and home appliances business, Videocon Group.

The satellite range also comes with a USB port, a connection point on computers and many other types of consumer electronics which enables one to watch movies on an LCD.
