NEW DELHI - Tata Teleservices Tuesday said it has crossed the 80 million subscribers mark, adding 2.14 million users in September.

The company has shown a subscriber growth rate of more than 100 percent in the last 12 months.

“The approach that has worked for us has been to offer cutting-edge and reliable products and services, have complete transparency as far as tariffs are concerned, and to provide dependable customer service, so that the customer has a seamless and hassle-free telecom experience,” said Anil Sardana, managing director.

The telco closed the month of September with a total of 80,306,495 subscribers, including wireless and wireline, as on Sep 30.

The company said it would offer more enhanced, cutting-edge products and services post the launch of third generation (3G) services shortly.

With the countdown on 3G services having begun, TTSLs superior 3G-compliant infrastructure, with an assured migration path to 4G and a no-compromise in-built security system, will enable Tata DOCOMO to reap the benefits of its network capabilities,” said Deepak Gulati, executive president, mobility business.
