DDA to allot over 16,000 flats

NEW DELHI - The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will allot over 16,000 flats from Nov 25 under its 2010 housing scheme, it was announced here Friday.

The flats are located in different parts of Delhi in colonies like Vasant Kunj, Mukherjee Nagar, Motia Khan, Jasola, Dwarka, Rohini, Narela, Jaffarabad, Kaundli Gharoli.

“In order to reach to all sections of the society there is a mix of one bed, two bed and three bedroom houses expandable and Janta one room tenements/houses. One room tenements in Narela, Trilokpuri and Shivaji Enclave have also been included in the scheme,” a DDA release stated.

The criteria for allotment is that both husband and wife can apply but only one will be allotted a flat in case both are found to be financially well off.

There is no income criteria. Aspirants can apply only if they have a Pan Card and a bank account. The allotment money should be paid from the bank account of the allottee and a certificate to this effect will have to be submitted at the time of possession, the release said.

“The flats located at Vasant Kunj, which have been made with higher specifications, will attract a higher price. The cost for the new scheme flats also includes lumpsum maintenance charges for exteriors and common portions,” the release
