VADODARA - Organic farmers from all over India will converge in Anand district of Gujarat next month for a convention, an official said Monday.

With a theme of ‘cool farming for a hot planet’, the convention will discuss how organic farming can help fight climate change, director of Organic Farming Association of India (OFAI) Dr. Claude Alvares said here.

The conference will be held from Dec 15 to 17, he added.

Farmers and experts would demonstrate various organic farming techniques, including seed selection, irrigation methods and the like.

OFAI organises its convention every two years in various parts of the country. Previous meets were held at Wardha (Maharashtra) in 2006 and Trichy (Tamil Nadu) in 2008.
