All-India mobike expedition to promote safe riding

MANALI - Twenty motorcyclists from four cities, jointly covering a distance of 24,000 km over the next 30 days, hope to promote safe riding practices in India, an official said here Wednesday.

Organised by automotive group Mahindra and Mahindra, the first batch of five riders were flagged off from Manali town of Himachal Pradesh Wednesday.

A similar rally was also flagged off from Goa Wednesday, the company’s deputy general manager of corporate communications Sunil Gate said.

Rallies from Gangtok and Kanyakumari will be flagged off Thursday and Monday, respectively, he added.

“On their way to their destination Nagpur, the bikers will share their experiences with people to promote safe riding practices,” he said.

Their journey would end in Nagpur Dec 22.
