PM to launch websites for investors in 12 languages

NEW DELHI - Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will Tuesday launch investors’ education websites in 12 Indian languages, including Hindi, on the ocacsion of the India Corporate Week 2010.

“The prime minister will inaugurate the second India Corporate Week and also launch investors education website in Hindi and eleven regional languages, an official statement said Monday.

The India Corporate Week, observed every year during the third week of December, is organised by the corporate affairs ministry and the National Foundation for Corporate Governance in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and other apex industry associations.

The theme of this year’s event scheduled to be held Dec 14 - 21 is “Sustainable Business”.

The corporate affairs ministry, in association with apex industry associations, is expected to organise over 400 programmes during the week throughout the country especially in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, with the objective of projecting corporate sector contributions in economic and social development.
