Panasonic India plans to enter business solutions venture by next year

KOLKATA - Consumer durables firm Panasonic India plans a foray into business solutions venture in the country by the next year, a top company official said here Friday.

The company, which is a market leader in the sector in countries like Japan and Malaysia, was looking into all aspects to firm up its plans.

“We are planning to enter into business solutions venture in India. We are in the process of analysing all aspects,” said Yuji Tsuda, company general manager here.

“We are now in the process of conceptualisation and latest by 2012 we will be in a position to launch our business solutions venture in India,” said Ajay Madan, another company official.

Company regional manager Nanda Ghosh said it has plans to expand business in the eastern region in a big way.

“We will soon launch several models of scanners and telecom devices. We will also be launching ‘point of sales counters’ and are in talks with food giant McDonalds,” Ghosh told IANS.

The company launched its latest multifunction laser printer in the city during the day.
