Bina refinery’s two units go on-stream

NEW DELHI - Naftogaz India said Sunday it has completed work on two projects of Bharat Oman Refineries Limited, a joint venture of the state-run Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Oman Oil, at Bina in Madhya Pradesh.

“Naftogaz India successfully commissioned a Rs.576 crore hydrogen generation unit and Rs.256 crore coke drum system package unit for Bharat Oman Refineries Limited’s Bina refinery project,” Bava Mahdoom, director of Naftogaz India, said in a statement.

Naftogaz India, a subsidiary of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, was responsible for engineering, procurement and construction works of the projects located in Sagar district.

The company completed EPC works on the coke drum system package unit of the project Jan 29 while hydrogen generation unit was commissioned at the end of last year.

Bina refinery, a 6 million tonnes refinery project of Bharat Oman Refineries Limited, includes crude oil import facilities and a cross country pipeline.

The total cost of the project is estimated at Rs.11,397 crore ($2.4 billion).
