With a view to enabling institutional and retail investors to plan their investment in an efficient manner and providing transparency and stability in the Government securities market, it has been decided to continue with the system of releasing the indicative calendar for issuance of the Government of India securities. Accordingly, an indicative calendar for issue of dated securities for the first half of the year 2011-2012 covering the period from April 1, 2011 to September 30, 2011, as given below, is being issued in consultation with the Government:
On a review of the cash position of the Government of India, the Reserve Bank of India, in consultation with the Government of India, has decided to modify the notified amounts for the issuance of Treasury Bills for the first quarter ending June 2011. The notified amounts for the auction of the Treasury Bills for the period April 1, 2011 to June 30, 2011 are given below:
The Reserve Bank of India has announced the auction of 91-day Government of India Treasury Bills for notified amount of Rs.5,000 crore. The auction will be conducted on March 30, 2011 using "Multiple Price Auction" method. The allocation to the non-competitive bidders will be outside the notified amount at the discretion of the Bank. The sale will be subject to the terms and conditions specified in the General Notification No. F.2 (12)-W & M/97 dated 31st March, 1998 issued by Government of India and as amended from time to time.
The Reserve Bank of India has announced the auction of 182-day Government of India Treasury Bills for notified amount of Rs.2,000 crore. The auction will be conducted on March 30, 2011 using "Multiple Price Auction" method. The allocation to the non-competitive bidders will be outside the notified amount at the discretion of the Bank. The sale will be subject to the terms and conditions specified in the General Notification No. F.2 (12)-W & M/97 dated 31st March, 1998 issued by Government of India and as amended from time to time.
