The Reserve Bank of India has announced the auction of 182-day Government of India Treasury Bills for notified amount of ` 4,000 crore. The auction will be conducted on November 23, 2011 using "Multiple Price Auction" method. The allocation to the non-competitive bidders will be outside the notified amount at the discretion of the Bank. The sale will be subject to the terms and conditions specified in the General Notification No. F.2 (12)-W & M/97 dated 31st March, 1998 issued by Government of India and as amended from time to time.

The Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue ` 1000 denomination Banknotes incorporating "`" symbol, without inset letter, in the Mahatma Gandhi-2005 Series bearing the signature of Dr. D. Subbarao, Governor, Reserve Bank of India and the year of printing 2011 printed on the back of the Banknote.
The Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue ` 10 denomination Banknotes incorporating "`" symbol, with inset letter 'R', in the Mahatma Gandhi Series bearing the signature of Dr. D. Subbarao, Governor, Reserve Bank of India and the year of printing 2011 printed on the back of the Banknote.
The Reserve Bank of India today released the data showing daily merchant and inter-bank transactions in foreign exchange for the period October 31, 2011 to November 4, 2011.
