InterDigital posts jump in 4Q sales; shares climb
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. — InterDigital Inc. on Friday reported its preliminary sales climbed 30 percent in the fourth quarter.
The company, which plans to release full quarterly results Feb. 24, said its revenue for the quarter came to $76.4 million, up from $58.7 million in the same period a year before.
InterDigital also projected $78 million to $79 million in revenue for the first quarter. The company reported revenue of $70.6 million in the first quarter of 2009.
InterDigital makes chips and software for the wireless communications market. Its stock added $1.01, or 4.2 percent, to $25.08 in afternoon trading.
