Japanese Airline Amakusa adopts IBS solution

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - Japanese airline Amakusa has implemented city-based IBS Software Services’ IT solution “iFly Res” for its passenger reservation system, the IBS group said Tuesday.
V.K. Mathews, IBS chairman, said the company’s new generation solutions help airlines break away from legacy systems and cut their cost of operations, enhance efficiency and improve revenue.

Unlike other airline passenger reservation solutions, iFly Res affords total integration of airline reservation with complementary passenger services solutions like holiday, tour management and inventory control.
Amakusa is a regional airline in Japan and connects the Amakusa island to Fukuoka, Kumamoto and Kobe.
Amakusa chief Toru Okushima said the airline chose IBS after a careful evaluation and its track record in Japan and abroad.
Over the years IBS has become a specialist in the domain by offering a range of products and services that manage mission-critical operations of major airlines, airports, oil and gas companies, seaports, cruise lines and tour operators world-wide.
It has overseas software development centres in Atlanta, Bangalore, Boston, Cochin, London and Tokyo.
