The Defense Department awarded the insurer a $17 billion contract to provide coverage for military members and their families.
MGM Mirage Inc., down $1.22 to $13.72
Hefty charges to write down the value of its Las Vegas CityCenter property and weaker revenue drove the casino operator to a quarterly loss.
Magna International Inc., up $7.41 to $69.94
The Canadian auto parts maker posted strong profit and said the Stronach Trust has agreed to loosen its control and adopt a single class of stock.
