Suzlon Energy subsidiary bags 74.8 megawatt order in Germany

MUMBAI - India’s wind turbine manufacturing major Suzlon Energy Wednesday said its subsidiary REpower Systems AG has signed a contract with German wind farm project developer Denker & Wulf AG to deliver 22 wind turbines.
REpower Systems AG has signed a contract with German wind farm project developer Denker and Wulf AG, for the delivery of 22 wind turbines to a new project in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, the company said in a regulatory filing.
No financial details were provided by the company.
The REpower will install 3.4M104 turbine types, each with a rated output of 3.4 MW and the project is expected to be constructed by 2012, it added.
The contract includes a 15-year integrated service package which covers project servicing and maintenance.
Since 2001, REpower Systems AG has supplied 960 wind turbines for the German market with a total output of more than 1,620 MW.
From October 1, 2010, REpower will bundle sales, project management and service for the core markets of Germany and Austria, Suzlon said in a statement.
