Rieter Nittoku plans expansion at Chennai facility

CHENNAI - The Swiss-Japanese equal joint venture Rieter Nittoku Automotive Sound Proof Products India Pvt Ltd
is planning to expand its facility here at an outlay of around $5 million next year.
“We have planned to expand our new facility here in 2011 if everything goes as per our expectations. The outlay on expansion will be around $5 million,” Ralph Ruthner, CEO, told IANS.
Rieter Nittoku makes moulded carpets, acoustic dashboard solutions, engine compartment parts and aluminum heatshields.
The companys plant located near here, though started operations in May this year, was officially inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minsiter M.K.Stalin Wednesday.
For Reiter Nittoku, the new plant is the fourth joint venture facility in Asia. However, the Swiss company Reiter Automotive opened its first plant in Behror near New Delhi in 2006 to make noise vibration harshness and damping parts.
