Republic Day rehearsals in Delhi from Monday

NEW DELHI - The Republic Day parade rehearsals will be held near India Gate area of central Delhi for four days from Monday, police said, adding that roads in the area will be closed from 8 a.m. till 12 noon.
According to a senior police officer, the rehearsals for the 62nd Republic Day parade Jan 26 will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at Rajpath.
“The rehearsal will be between 9 a.m. and 12 noon from Vijay Chowk, Rajpath and India Gate. Due to this, traffic will be stopped from 8 a.m. in these areas,” the police officer said.
Delhi Police has asked people to avoid India Gate and its surrounding areas till noon due to the traffic restrictions.
