eDETROIT — Ford Motor Co. Executive Chairman Bill Ford is going to Washington to present recommendations to the Obama administration from a three-day summit in Detroit on manufacturing, energy, technology and the environment.
Bill Ford, a co-chair of June’s National Summit, plans to meet Monday with U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke. Locke spoke at the gathering of business, government and academic leaders.
The announcement was made Tuesday at a meeting of the Detroit Economic Club, which organized the summit. Joining Ford will be economic club CEO Beth Chappell and Tom Dekar, a vice chairman of accounting and consulting firm Deloitte LLP. Deloitte helped create the conference.
