OCS Group enters into education sector

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - The multinational OCS Group, comprising engineering and consulting companies, has entered the education sector with the launch of its IT education learning campus here.

The group launched the campus for software professionals Saturday to meet the demand for skilled human resource in India.

“There is a huge demand for skilled human resource personnel equipped in latest software fields like animation and industrial animation,” OCS Group chairman and managing director Mark Tranfield told reporters.

OCS Group, comprising engineering and consulting companies, launched the campus. The new learning centre will be set up at a cost of Rs.1.5 crore.

The fee of the course will range from Rs.70,000 to Rs.90,000.

“We have reinvented the graphics and animation tools as a supporting industry for the core industries like manufacturing, construction and the oil and gas industry. There is huge demand for qualified people in this field but we are not getting enough and hence we decided to launch our own learning campus here,” Tranfield said.
