Alaska Airlines discounting Juneau flights
SEATTLE — Alaska Airlines, a unit of Alaska Air Group Inc., said Monday discounted fares will be offered to Alaska residents traveling to the state capital during next year’s legislative session.
The so-called “constituent fares” amount to a 30 percent discount off three- and seven-day advance purchase tickets. The fares will be offered on the airline’s Web site through April 22.
Passengers have to be Alaska residents and members of the airline’s frequent flier plan to be eligible for the discounted fares, which are valid for one roundtrip to Juneau from any of the carrier’s year-round markets in the state, except Prudhoe Bay. Residents who live in the Juneau area are not eligible.
Travel must be completed between Jan. 15 and April 25. An e-mail containing a discount code is being sent to Alaska Airlines’ frequent flier members.
Alaska Air Group, operator of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air, is based in Seattle.
