GURGAON - The Haryana government has decided to start a city bus service in Gurgaon which will be based on a Public Private Partnership (PPP). In all, 450 new buses will be purchased for this, officials said Friday.

Out of these 450 new buses, 60 percent would be air-conditioned low-floor buses fitted with global positioning system (GPS). Tenders will be invited from world class agencies during the next month and the city bus service is likely to start by August next year, state transport commissioner Anand Mohan Saran said.

These buses would also ply between Gurgaon, Faridabad and Delhi besides covering the internal parts of Gurgaon city. A total of 227 new bus stops will be constructed for this bus service, he added.
