GURGAON - The Haryana government has permitted people owning 50 acres or more land in the amenity zone of the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) global corridor to set up recreational projects like amusement parks and golf course, a senior official said here Wednesday.

“An area of two kilometres on both sides of the KMP global corridor is treated as amenity zone, in which some theme cities are proposed to be developed by the state government,” said Gurgaon deputy commissioner Rajender Kataria.

“Besides, any person having 50 acres or more land can develop recreational projects on his land,” he added.

“We have sought suggestions from officials concerned on what kind of activities could be taken up in this area. The projects should not disturb the notified development plans of Gurgaon district.”

The KMP global corridor has been conceived to develop sector-specific industrial parks and sub-cities.
