General Dynamics gets Army training contract with $387 million potential value

General Dynamics awarded Army training contract
FAIRFAX, Va. — General Dynamics Corp. said Friday that it has been awarded an Army training contract that could potentially be worth $387 million.
The contract is for work on the Army’s computerized simulations that are used to prepare soldiers for situations such as combat. It has an initial value of $56 million, a figure that could expand if all options are exercised.
The contract was awarded to General Dynamics’ information technology subsidiary.
Shares of General Dynamics rose 31 cents to $68.11 in early afternoon trading.
