ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and the US will hold talks in Washington Tuesday to promote bilateral trade, the US embassy here said.
US ambassador to Pakistan Anne W. Patterson, Pakistani Minister of State for Investment Saleem H. Mandviwalla and business leaders of both countries will participate in the discussions.
The talks will be held as part of Pakistan Business Ambassadors Programme, Xinhua reported quoting embassy spokesman Richard Snelsire.
The programme was launched in April 2009 to boost trade and investment between the two countries, Snelsire said in a statement.
Mandviwalla said Pakistan’s economy is projected to grow by 4.1 percent in the fiscal year ending in June. More than 700 multinational companies are based in Pakistan, he said.
