Obama to meet with owners of small businesses
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama meets with small business owners in the Oval Office to highlight his small business jobs initiatives.
He’ll also make a statement Friday in the Rose Garden. The administration has made a series of proposals aimed at helping small businesses grow and hire new workers, and Obama says he’ll continue to urge Congress to act on them.
Earlier, the president gets another briefing on the Gulf oil spill. He also has meetings with his senior advisers and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
