Chhattisgarh gets first BPO call centre

RAIPUR - IT firm MphasiS launched Chhattisgarh’s first BPO call centre here Tuesday.

The 500-seater centre was formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Raman Singh, who said that “the BPO call centre would be a huge advantage for the people of Chhattisgarh”.

MphasiS, a HP Group company, will initially provide services in the state to telecom operator Idea Cellular. The firm said that the Raipur centre would work closely with MphasiS’s Indore Hub.

According to a government statement, the call centre was opened due to a special initiative of Raman Singh.
