Income Tax raids on Chhattisgarh realtors

RAIPUR - Officials of the Income Tax (IT) department Wednesday conducted raids on 31 premises of Chhattisgarh realtors, including leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The raids that began around 8 a.m. continued till late at night. IT officials here refused to give details about the raids but added that these would continue till at least Thursday.

The IT department also raided the offices and premises of Rajiv Agrawal and Chhaggan Mundra, both senior leaders of the BJP who have a real estate business in Raipur.
