Wipro wins Microsoft country partner award

BANGALORE - Wipro has won the 2010 Microsoft country partner of the year award for delivering market-leading customer solutions built on Microsoft technology, the IT bellwether said here Monday.

“We have been on the forefront of consulting, architecting and implementing innovative solutions on the Microsoft platform, with a high business impact on our customers,” Wirpo vice-president Anand Sankaran said in a statement here.

The winners in different categories were chosen from a pool of 3,000 entrants worldwide.

The Bangalore-based Wipro was recognised for superior technology, innovation and subsidiary engagement as Microsoft country partner in 2009.

“The recognition demonstrates our business excellence in delivering Microsoft solutions and effective engagement to drive customer satisfaction,” Sankaran said.

Microsoft Corporation vice-president Allison Watson said Wipro bagged the award for combining local market expertise with solutions and services that fulfill customers’ needs.
