Exclusive jewellery brand for gays

KOLKATA - Commemorating the day, July 2, when the Delhi High Court decriminalised private consensual sex between adults of the same sex, the Gold Factory here has launched ‘Freedom Collection’ for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community.

“We hope Freedom Collection will be a source of beauty and joy for the LGBTQ community, as well as their friends and allies,” the company said here in a statement.

“What we do believe… we will be one of the many committed voices that are being raised by individuals, organisations, activists and lawmakers that will resonate together to bring about this change,” the statement added.

The Freedom Collection comprises jewelleries like pendants, earrings, lapel pins or saree pins, cufflinks priced between Rs.500 and Rs.1,600 and lambda lockets priced at Rs.3,770.
