Rs.900 crore ADB loan for Jharkhand road project

RANCHI - The Asian Development Bank (ADB)will provide the Jharkhand government a $200 million (Rs.900 crore) loan for building a 3,121 km-long road in the state.

A tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) among the government of India, the Jharkhand government and the ADB was signed here Friday in the presence of Governor M.O.H. Farook and Hun Kim, country director of ADB.

The raod project will start from Govindpur via Jamtara and Dumka Barhet to Sahebganj. It is likely to be completed by June 2014.
