US Travel Association spent $341,000 on 2Q lobby
NEW YORK — The U.S. Travel Association spent $341,000 in the second quarter to lobby the federal government on travel security, border enforcement, pandemic preparations and other issues, according to a disclosure report.
That’s up from the $288,000 that the group spent in the year-ago period, but less than the $356,000 it spent in the first quarter. The group, formerly called the Travel Industry Association of America, also lobbied the federal government on legislation involving immigration, transportation, the budget and other matters, according to the report filed on July 20.
In the April-to-June period, the group lobbied Congress, the executive office of the president, the departments of Homeland Security and State, the Transportation Security Administration and other departments, according to the report filed with the House clerk’s office.
