Government employees join strike in Chhattisgarh

RAIPUR - Nearly 2,50,000 state government employees in Chhattisgarh Tuesday joined the nationwide strike called by trade unions that brought work in offices to a complete halt.

The strike hit banking services across 18 districts. Postal and insurance services were hit partially.

Nearly 550 state government employees were arrested in the capital Raipur.
