Gujarat inks MOU with British Asian business association

GANDHINAGAR - iNDEXTb, the investment promotion wing of the Gujarat Government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Britain’s Leicestershire Asian Business Association (LABA) to promote economic cooperation and commercial exchanges.

A 16-member delegation of business leaders and government officials from the state is in Leicestershire to interact with business communities and host a road show to promote the Vibrant Gujarat global invest ment summit to be held in January 2011.

An official spokesperson Monday said the MoU was signed by Guruprasad Mohapatra, managing director of state-owned Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited, and Jaspal Singh Minhas, LABA president.

LABA is a leading British Asian business association in Leicestershire and the East Midlands region, fostering business development, training, inward investment and international trade for the last 25 years.

The MOU will enable both sides to improve economic and business cooperation between companies in their respective countries and set up joint ventures.
