Columbus Day Not Observed as a Holiday in Private Sector

NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — Today marks the Columbus Day. Though this day is not considered as a holiday in the private sector, but federal, state and some county offices will be closed today due to this event.
Some services like postal service or mail deliveries will not in action today. The Alameda County courts will also be closed today.
On this Columbus Day city offices in Pleasanton, Dublin and Livermore will be open as usual along with public schools.
