NEW DELHI - Stating that India and China will be the “epicentre of global economic activity”, Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal Wednesday said that collaboration between the two can help economic growth in the region.

“The epicentre of the global economic activity will be India and China. Therefore, it is important for us to understand that when the two great economies collaborate with each other, we shall lead the world, and we know we shall,” Sibal said, addressing an Indo-China business meeting here.

“We are trying to resolve all the issues with China, collaboration will bring people and economies together,” he said.

Stating that technical collaborations will lead to great achievements, he said the two neighbours can replace G7 in next 30 years as their contribution will be 51 percent of the world’s gross domestic product.

“In next 40 years, we will be able to sell the technology to the rest of the world,” Sibal said.

Sibal’s comments come after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday said that there was “enormous” possibility of India and China working together.
