KOLKATA - CeMAT India, the international trade fair for materials handling and logistics, will be held in Mumbai Dec 15-18.
“Over 350 participants, including 35 percent from foreign countries, have given their confirmation for the event,” said Sudhir Patil, managing director of Hannover Milanio Fairs India Private Limited, the organisers of the fair.
CeMAT India will be accompanied by four other trade shows on motion drive and automation, industrial automation, energy efficiency - decentralised renewable and conventional energies, and surface treatment technology.
The fair was held in Bangalore in 2007 and Mumbai in 2009. “In future also, it will alternate between Bangalore and Mumbai,” Patil said Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Hannover Messe 2011, one of the largest trade fairs in the world held at Hannover, Germany, will be organised April 4-8 next year.
It would focus on innovations and solutions for energy, water, mobility and building infrastructure in cities, with France featured as the official partner country.
“Hannover Messe 2011 will feature a new display category focusing on innovations for urban infrastructures and cities ‘Metropolitan Solutions’,” said Wolfgang Pech, senior vice president of Deutsche Messe AG, Hannover.
With sustained growth of cities across the globe placing increased pressure on the urban infrastructure, numerous existing technologies that can bring about significant improvements in the city dwellers’ lives will be displayed in the industrial fair.
Thirteen flagships fairs would be part of the Hannover Messe 2011. They include industrial automation, power plant technology, wind, mobiltec, digital factory, among others.
