JOHANNESBURG - Charges were dropped Tuesday against two Dutch women who had faced prosecution for allegedly taking part in an ambush marketing campaign at a World Cup match.

JOHANNESBURG - More than 30 women showed up at the Netherlands-Denmark match wearing orange mini-dresses emblazoned with the name of a Dutch brewery - earning them a red card from World Cup officials who acted to quash what they called an ambush marketing scam.

JOHANNESBURG - Don't be fooled by the sob story making headlines at the World Cup about the fun-loving, oh-so-sweet-and-innocent Dutch women who got into trouble with big, nasty FIFA for supposedly doing nothing more innocuous than wearing orange mini-dresses to a game.

JOHANNESBURG - FIFA is defending itself for questioning more than 30 young, blonde women who showed up for a World Cup match in orange mini-dresses that are the symbol of a beer advertising campaign in the Netherlands.
