McNally Bharat’s German arm wins Rs.500 million order

KOLKATA - McNally Bharat Engineering Company Limited (MBE)’s newly acquired German company has won orders totalling Rs.500 million in Oct-Dec period of the current fiscal (2009-10), a company release said here Friday.

The orders would be executed through Humboldt Wedag Minerals India, the Indian subsidiary of the coal and mineral technology division of KHD Humboldt Wedag of Germany that McNally acquired in August 2009.

“One of the major projects has been bagged from Orissa Mining Corporation amounting to Rs.349 million. The scope of work would include installation of new chrome ore beneficiation plant at South Kaliapani,” the release said.

The other major order won during the quarter is worth Rs.111 million and involves manufacture and supply of equipment to Anrak Aluminium Ltd for its 1.5 million tonne a year alumina Refinery at Vishakhapatnam.

These apart, McNally’s German arm has also bagged orders from IISCO, Burnpur and Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd, the release said.
